BetBoom Team is one of six teams to start DreamLeague Season 27 with two straight wins, and the only team to do it with a pair of two-map sweeps.

After BetBoom opened the tournament with a 2-0 win over Runa Team on Wednesday, they returned to action Thursday and defeated Xtreme Gaming by the same score, in 30 minutes and 25 minutes while playing on green.

Matvey “MieRo” Vasyunin of Russia averaged 6.5 kills, just 0.5 deaths and 10 assists across the two maps to lead BetBoom.

The $1 million Dota 2 event features 24 teams starting in a Swiss System group stage. All matches are best-of-three, with the top eight teams advancing to the double-elimination playoffs, which run from Dec. 17-21.

Playoff matches will all be best-of-three ahead of the best-of-five grand final.

The championship team will receive $200,000 in prize money and a $30,000 club reward. The runner-up side will get $125,000 and a $25,000 club reward.

On Thursday, the other five teams to improve to 2-0 were Team Falcons, Team Spirit, Team Liquid, PARIVISION and OG.

Falcons defeated MOUZ 2-0 by nearly identical times of 37:41 and 37:40, both times on red. Liquid swept Tundra Esports in 33 minutes on green and 30 minutes on red.

The other three won their Thursday matches 2-1. Spirit sandwiched a 39-minute win on red and a 36-minute triumph on green around Natus Vincere’s 43-minute win on red.

HEROIC defeated PARIVISION in a marathon 72 minutes on green before PARIVISION responded by winning in 64 minutes on green and 26 minutes on red.
