Bilibili Gaming beat G2 Esports in the grand final of the First Stand Tournament knockout stage on Sunday in Sao Paulo, taking home the $250,000 first-place prize.
Bilibili won the event with a 3-1 victory, its second of the tournament over G2 Esports after a 3-0 sweep in the upper-bracket final of Group A play. Bilibili finished the event with a 4-0 record and a combined game record of 12-3.
The $1 million League of Legends competition began with eight teams competing at Riot Games Arena in the first cross-regional tournament of the season. All matches were best-of-five.
G2 Esports won the opener of the grand final in 38 minutes on blue. But Bilibili swarmed back by winning the next three to finish off the victory with a 40-minute victory on red, 28-minute triumph on blue and a clinching 27-minute win on blue.
Chen “Bin” Zebin of China led Bilibili with a 17-7-18 kill-death-assist ratio, complemented by Chinese teammate Peng “XUN” Lixun posting a 16-11-31 K-D-A. Rasmus “Caps” Winther of Denmark led G2 with an 18-8-21 K-D-A ratio.
