FaZe Clan continued their roll through the competition on Saturday to reach the grand final of the $250,000 Intel Extreme Masters Sydney event in Australia.
In one best-of-three semifinal, FaZe Clan swept MOUZ, winning 13-4 on Nuke and 13-9 on Vertigo. Robin “ropz” Kool of Estonia had 38 kills and a plus-21 kills-to-death differential for FaZe, while Canadian Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken added 34 kills and a plus-15 differential.
In the final of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, FaZe will take on Complexity, who swept G2 Esports, 13-8 on Anubis and 13-3 on Ancient, in the other semifinal. Ricky “floppy” Kemery had 40 kills and a plus-17 K-D differential for Complexity.
Sunday’s grand final also will be best-of-three. The champion earns $100,000 and automatic qualification for IEM Katowice 2024.
