Lakers Gaming beat NetsGC 77-73 on Saturday to win the NBA 2K League’s The Ticket.
Arshia “Krazy” Karimi led the way for the Lakers, pouring in 26 points on 13-of-19 shooting while hauling in 10 rebounds. Shun “Streetz” Brown finished with a team-high 21 points for the Nets.
Karimi was named MVP of the The Ticket. Lakers Gaming came away with $5,000 for winning the tournament.
The Ticket was the last of three tournaments leading up to the NBA 2K League 5v5 Playoffs, which run Wednesday through Saturday. Five teams from each conference have already advanced to the playoffs based on their performances in the previous two tournaments, The Tipoff and The Turn — both won by Warriors Gaming Squad.
To reach the final, the Lakers downed Kings Guard Gaming 69-63, while NetsGC picked up a 69-65 victory over Gen.G Tigers.
