Valorant standout Tae-O “Meteor” Kim is a free agent after his team failed to land a spot in the 10-team 2023 Asia-Pacific region.
The 22-year-old South Korean player joined the Japanese team Northeption last February and participated in such events as the Valorant Champions Tour Japan Challengers and the VCT East Asia Last Chance Qualifier.
Meteor is regarded as one of the best players in East Asia and likely won’t last long on the free agent market.
The 10 teams selected by Riot Games for the 2023 APAC league earlier this month are Paper Rex, ZETA Division, Gen.G, T1, DRX, Team Secret, DetonatioN Gaming, Talon Esports, Rex Regum and Global Esports.
