PARIVISION, Liquid, Falcons reach PGL Wallachia playoffs

PARIVISION, Team Liquid and Team Falcons qualified for the playoffs with victories on Tuesday at the PGL Wallachia Season 8 event in Bucharest, Romania.

In Round 4 action between teams with 2-1 records, PARIVISION defeated South America Rejects 2-1 while Liquid swept HEROIC and Falcons did the same to GamerLegion.

The winners advanced to the playoff round to join BetBoom Team and Aurora Gaming, who both went 3-0 during the Swiss-system group stage at the $1 million Dota 2 tournament.

Eight teams will compete in the double-elimination playoffs starting on Thursday. All matches are best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final, where the winner will take home $300,000.

South America Rejects opened with a 39-minute win on green but PARIVISION responded with victories in 25 minutes on green and 27 minutes on red.

Liquid defeated Heroic in 31 minutes on green and 35 minutes on red. Falcons had a tougher time with GamerLegion, prevailing in 52 and 41 minutes, both on red.

Tuesday’s Round 4 schedule also included three do-or-die matches between 1-2 teams. Team Spirit eliminated Natus Vincere 2-1, Xtreme Gaming swept Vici Gaming and MOUZ knocked out Virtus.pro 2-1.

Action continues Wednesday with three Round 5 matches (teams are 2-2):

–Xtreme Gaming vs. Team Spirit
