PARIVISION clinched the BLAST Bounty Winter championship with a 3-0 sweep of Team Falcons in Sunday’s grand final at Attard, Malta.
After losing the opening game of its quarterfinal match vs. Team Spirit, PARIVISION won its final seven games, sweeping through its semifinal and final matches to take first place.
With the win, PARIVISION claimed the first-place prize of $254,687.50 and three BLAST Frequent Flyer Tokens for winning the event. Team Falcons won $71,562.50 for finishing in second. All teams which didn’t win also received one BLAST Frequent Flyer Token.
Eight teams began the $452,500 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event, having advanced to the single-elimination bracket via closed qualifiers. The grand final was best-of-five after the quarterfinals and semifinals were best-of-three.
The teams were reseeded after the quarterfinals.
PARIVISION’s sweep came with a 13-9 win on Mirage, a 13-11 victory on Dust II and a 13-11 win on Inferno.
Emil “nota” Moskvitin led the all-Russian squad with a team-high 60 kills and 36 deaths, second-fewest on PARIVISION. Ivan “zweih” Gogin added a 50- 42 K-D ratio, and Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov tallied 49 kills to 44 deaths.
Nikola “NiKo” Kovac of Boznia and Herzegovina led Team Falcons with 49 kills to 44 deaths. He was the only member of the team who finished with a positive K-D ratio.
