PUBG Mobile Esports announced the additional of the Global Open (PMGO) for 2024, which will take place in Brazil in March and feature a $500,000 prize pool.
It’s among widespread changes to the PUBG Mobile esports ecosystem for next year that were announced ahead of this weekend’s 2023 PMGC Grand Finals.
The PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) is also expanding for 2024 to incorporate four regions. EMEA (Europe, the Middle East & Africa), Americas and Central & South Asia will each have two seasons, while Southeast Asia will have three.
The existing PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) and the midseason tournament will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They will be joined by the Global Open.
The Global Open will be comprised of the host region qualifier, regional PMSL qualifiers and PMSL partnership teams.
