Spacestation Gaming swept to advance while NTMR had to battle on Sunday to reach the lower bracket semifinal in the Overwatch Champions Series 2025 — North America Stage 2.

NTMR edged Extinction 3-2 while Spacestation ousted Sakura Esports 3-0 in their best-of-five. The winners of the lower bracket quarterfinals moved on to the bracket’s semifinal on June 28.

Geekay Esports and Team Liquid, which opened the regional playoffs with victories on Saturday, battle in the upper bracket final on June 28. The grand final is June 29.

The regional playoffs are a double-elimination bracket from June 21-29 and feature the top six teams from the regular season, which ran from May 10 to June 15. The bottom two teams, seventh-place Supernova and eighth-place DhillDucks, went to promotion/relegation for Stage 3.

The top three teams will advance to the Midseason Championship and North America Stage 3. The prize money has yet to be determined.

NTMR opened with a 2-0 loss to Extinction on Ilios Control, then drew even with a 3-0 win on Circuit Royal Escort. Extinction retook the lead with a dramatic win on Runasapi Push, 104.51m to 104.5m.

The rest was all NTMR, winners by 3-1 on Hollywood Hybrid and 3-1 on New Junk City Flashpoint. American Rocco “Kronik” Iacobacci of NTMR was selected the most valuable player.

Spacestation Gaming defeated Sakura with wins on Oasis Control (2-0), King’s Row Hybrid (2-1) and Runasapi Push (144.86m to 8.72m). American Kamden “sugerfree” Hijada of Spacestation was selected MVP.
