Steven Wilson took the checkered flag in the first race of the 2025 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series season on Tuesday night, prevailing at a virtual Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Wilson became the eighth driver in series history to record 10 career race wins. He crossed the finish line 0.039 second ahead of Parker White, last year’s champion.
“This is absolutely awesome,” said Wilson, who lives in Iowa City, Iowa. “I’m so pumped to win Daytona. This is not a place that I’m really fond of racing at usually, but I feel like I worked really well here. … Hopefully this leads me right into the playoffs.”
White, a Norridgewock, Maine, resident, was content with second place.
“In my opinion, I think Steve was kind of a hard lock into the playoffs anyway, so, at least for me, this doesn’t change anything for me looking out on the future of the season,” White said.
Behind Wilson (No. 77 Chevrolet) and White (No. 95 Chevrolet) was Malik Ray in the No. 1 Chevrolet. Zack Novak drove the No. 2 Toyota and came in fourth while Tucker Minter took the No. 97 Chevrolet to a fifth-place finish.
The series will continue on Feb. 25 at a virtual Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
