Team Falcons, PARIVISION reach BLAST Bounty Winter grand final

Team Falcons and PARIVISION advanced to the Sunday’s grand final of the BLAST Bounty Winter at Attard, Malta with Saturday victories.

PARIVISION swept FURIA 2-0 in one semifinal match and Team Falcons edged Team Vitality 2-1 in the other.

Eight teams began the $452,500 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event, having advanced to the single-elimination bracket via closed qualifiers. The quarterfinals and semifinals were best-of-three, while the grand final on Sunday will be best-of-five.

The teams were reseeded after the quarterfinals.

Final payouts will be determined at the end of the tournament after $47,500 was awarded to each team in the closed qualifier. The championship squad also will pick up three BLAST Frequent Flyer Tokens, whereas all other participants will receive one.

PARIVISION downed FURIA 13-8 on Mirage and 13-11 on Inferno. Andrey “BELCHONOKK” Yasinskiy paced all-Russian PARIVISION with 38 kills to 24 deaths, while Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov had a 36-27 K-D ratio, Ivan “zweih” Gogin was at 35-28 and Dzhami “Jame” Ali finished with a 31-19 ratio.

FURIA’s Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis of Latvia paired 33 kills with 33 deaths.

Team Falcons won 13-10 on Inferno before Team Vitality evened the match with a 13-4 rout on Anubis. Team Falcons’ 13-6 victory on Mirage decided the match.

Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov of Russia led Team Falcons with 54 kills to 38 deaths, while Nikola “NiKo” Kovac of Bosnia and Herzegovina contributed 46 kills to 37 deaths.

Team Vitality’s Shahar “flameZ” Shushan of Israel recorded 49 kills to 41 deaths.
