Team Spirit rallied for a 2-1 win against PARIVISION in a tiebreaker match Friday at the DreamLeague Season 24 tournament.
After PARIVISION opened with a 36-minute win on green, Spirit answered with a 32-minute win on green and a marathon 73-minute victory on red to claim second place in the Group Stage 2 standings.
With the win, Spirit clinched a spot in the upper-bracket final against first-place finisher BetBoom Team as the double-elimination playoffs begin Saturday for the $1 million event.
Russia’s Denis “Larl” Sigitov led Spirit with an average kill-death-assist ratio of 5.7/2.3/9.7.
As the third-place team, PARIVISION moved into Saturday’s lower-bracket semifinal against fourth-place Team Falcons.
All remaining matches are best-of-three except for Sunday’s best-of-five grand final. The winners will take home $300,000.
