The Los Angeles Thieves remained unbeaten with a 3-1 victory over Minnesota Rokkr on Saturday during the final week of qualifying for the Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major.
Three other teams also posted 3-1 victories: Atlanta FaZe, Carolina Royal Ravens and Boston Breach.
The Stage 2 Major qualifying round includes all 12 teams, with each playing seven matches through Sunday to determine seeding for the Stage 2 Major playoffs, slated for Thursday through March 23 in Dallas.
On Friday, the Thieves — now 7-0 — opened with a 250-92 win on Hacienda Hardpoint and a 6-2 victory on Skyline Search and Destroy before Minnesota prevailed 3-1 on Hacienda Control. The Thieves then put the match away on Protocol Hardpoint, winning 250-212.
Facing LA Guerrillas M8, Atlanta FaZe took a 2-0 lead on Protocol Hardpoint (250-240) and Protocol Search and Destroy (6-2), but fell on Hacienda Control (3-2). FaZe then bounced back to seal the win on Hacienda Hardpoint (250-224).
The Royal Ravens were in good shape following wins on Vault Hardpoint (250-233) and Protocol Search and Destroy (6-0), then rebounded from a loss to the Vegas Falcons on Protocol Control (3-2) with a clinching victory on Hacienda Hardpoint (250-231).
Boston Breach fell to Miami Heretics 250-245 on Skyline Hardpoint, then posted three straight wins on Skyline Search and Destroy (6-5), Protocol Control (3-1) and Hacienda Hardpoint (250-223).
