Five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2024, has decommitted from Ohio State.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect’s family confirmed the news Saturday with 247Sports.
Raiola gave a verbal commitment to the Buckeyes in May, choosing Ohio State over Georgia, Nebraska, Oregon and Southern California.
“We have a lot of respect for Coach (Ryan) Day and the Ohio State program,” Raiola’s father, Dominic, told 247Sports. “Everything is back on the table. His process is almost like it’s restarting. It’s not closed off to anybody.”
As a junior this season at Chandler High School in suburban Phoenix, Raiola completed better than 64 percent of his passes for 2,435 yards with 22 touchdowns and five interceptions.
The 247Sports composite has had Raiola ranked No. 1 overall in his recruiting class since late June.
Dominic Raiola played center for the Detroit Lions for 14 seasons, retiring after the 2014 season.
