While the outcome of the 43rd Ryder Cup appears to be a foregone conclusion, there is plenty of action to be had for bettors during Sunday singles.
Team USA holds its largest lead after two days since 1975. Facing an 11-5 deficit, Team Europe would have to stage a record comeback in order to earn the 14 points it needs to retain the Cup. The Americans are heavy favorites entering Sunday, from -5000 at William Hill to -10000 at DraftKings.
The 12 singles matches present a variety of betting opportunities, as do a variety of prop bet markets.
Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy will play against Xander Schauffele of the U.S. in Sunday’s first singles match at Whistling Straits. With McIlroy going 0-3 during group play, the four-time major winner is a +130 underdog at DraftKings and +170 at William Hill.
World No. 1 Jon Rahm is the lone favorite for Team Europe after earning 3 1/2 points during group play.
The U.S. is the -225 favorite to win the most points in singles, with Europe +250 and a tie being offered at +700.
Johnson is the -200 favorite to finish as the top points scorer for the event, followed by Rahm (+275), Schauffele (+900), Morikawa (+1400) and Garcia (+1600)
At William Hill, Schauffele is the +110 favorite to be the top-scoring rookie for Team USA. Morikawa is +125 and Cantlay is +500.
