Stephen Curry did not make the Golden State Warriors’ trip to Sacramento to face the Kings on Wednesday due to a cold, while teammates Jimmy Butler III (back) and Draymond Green (rib) are questionable for the Pacific Division matchup.

Per ESPN, Butler is trying to get cleared to play while dealing with a tweaked lower back, while Green is battling a right rib contusion. Butler sat out the second half of Monday’s 118-107 home win over the Phoenix Suns. Curry, 37, scored 28 points despite a cold that he said is getting worse. Butler, 36, and Green, 35, each scored two points.

Golden State’s condensed schedule for the season’s first month included three back-to-backs. Eight of their next nine games are on the road.

“When all is said and done, of our first 15 games, I think they’ll come in 26 days in 10 different cities,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “To ask our players to sprint — full court pressure, either dealing with it or applying it, racing out to the 3-point line, covering 3-point shooters and then playing at this tempo — is dramatically different from what it was 20 years ago.”

Curry, a two-time MVP and 11-time All-Star, is averaging 26.8 points, 4.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 38.9% from 3-point range in eight games this season, his 17th in the NBA.

Butler, a six-time All-Star in his 15th season and first full season with Golden State, is posting 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists in eight games.

Green, a four-time All-Star playing in his 14th NBA campaign, is averaging 8.0 points, 6.4 assists and 6.1 rebounds in eight games.
