Tre’Von Spillers and Juke Harris each scored 21 points and Wake Forest bounced back from a frustrating loss to roll past UMass-Lowell 109-75 on Sunday afternoon in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Nate Calmese added 15 points and seven assists, Myles Colvin provided 13 points off the bench and Omaha Biliew also had 13 points for the Demon Deacons (3-1), who fell in overtime to No. 6 Michigan on Tuesday in Detroit.

The Demon Deacons shot 55.9% from the floor and scored 61 points in the second half.

JJ Massaquoi scored 26 points off the bench to lead UMass-Lowell (1-4). Austin Green and Khalil Farmer each had 10 points

Wake Forest connected on 13 shots from 3-point range in 30 attempts, while UMass-Lowell went 6 of 22 from beyond the arc. The Demon Deacons collected 25 points off 15 River Hawks turnovers.

Spillers shot 8 of 9 from the floor, Harris was 8 of 14 and Calmese was 5 of 6.

The Demon Deacons’ overall strong shooting from the field came despite starter Mekhi Mason going 1 of 9. Wake Forest improved to 3-0 at home, reaching the 100-point level with more than 3 1/2 minutes remaining.

Colvin threw in a shot from more than 50 feet to end the first half as Wake Forest scored the last eight points of the half and held a 48-38 lead at the break. The Demon Deacons got off to a strong start in the second half and went on an 18-0 run at one point to take a 76-45 lead with 12:42 remaining.

Wake Forest outscored the River Hawks 33-9 across the first 8 1/2 minutes of the second half. Part of the burst came with the Demon Deacons scoring on 12 of 14 possessions as Harris scored seven consecutive Wake Forest points at one point.

Harris has scored at least 18 points in every game this season after never reaching that mark last season as a freshman.
