Reserve Anthony Roy led all scorers with 15 points and helped Oklahoma State notch an 85-69 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Sunday afternoon in Stillwater, Okla.

The Cowboys (4-0) are 13-0 all-time against the Islanders (1-4), including an 11-0 mark at home, dominating in the second half on their way to the win. They hit 16 of 28 shots (57.1%) and 12 of 14 free throws in the final 20 minutes.

Vyctorius Miller finished with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting while Leftteris Mantzoukas recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds for Oklahoma State. Andrija Vukovic added 10 points as well.

Facing their second consecutive Big 12 opponent, the Islanders played tough throughout but had only one player in double figures as Nick Shogbonyo scored 13.

Trailing only 37-35 at halftime, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi tied the score less than a minute into the second half on a jumper by Sheldon Williams.

The Cowboys answered with an 8-0 run to steal the momentum, and then got their lead back to double digits at 50-40 on a 3-pointer by Kanye Clary with 15:13 to play. The successful trey was only the second of the day for Oklahoma State.

Miller helped extend the lead even further when he made two free throws and then cut along the baseline for an easy layup as the Cowboys led 66-47 with 10:44 to go in the game.

The lead reached 21 (68-47) when Clary connected on two free throws with 9:26 to go. A windmill dunk off a steal at midcourt by Isaiah Coleman made it 73-49 two minutes later.

The first half was tightly contested most of the way. lary’s layup gave the Cowboys a little breathing room and their first double-digit advantage at 35-24 with 4:42 to go.

But it didn’t last long as Mason Gibson knocked down an open 3-pointer in transition, cutting the Islanders’ deficit to 37-33 with 37 seconds left. Then, Jaden Haire scored off an easy layup with four seconds to go as the Islanders closed the half on a 7-0 run.

The Cowboys did not score in the final 2:44 of the half.
