Tai’Reon Joseph posted 34 points, but six LSU players scored in the double digits in a come-from-behind 104-90 win against visiting Prairie View on Monday at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.

Dedan Thomas Jr. had 21 points, and Marquel Sutton had 21 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for the Tigers (11-1) who are now 7-0 at home this season. LSU shot just 47.4 percent from the field but shot 87.8 percent from the free-throw line following a penalty-heavy second half.

Dontae Horne posted 24 points and Joey Madimba added 16 for the Panthers (5-7) who have yet to win a game on the road in 2025. Prairie View totaled 31 personal fouls on Monday night, and guard Lance Williams was ejected in the second half after being issued a flagrant II foul.

Prairie View emerged from halftime with a surprising 56-51 lead, shooting 67 percent from the floor and 77 percent from three-point range. The Panthers extended their lead to 10 points, but LSU closed the gap as Prairie View ran into foul trouble.

Sutton’s layup gave LSU a 73-71 lead with 12:42 left on the clock. The Panthers attempted to cut into the lead, but the Tigers extended the advantage to 96-82 with 4:11 left in the game.

Mike Nwoko gave LSU a 101-86 lead with 2:29 left on the clock, and the Tigers held the Panthers off in the final minutes of play.

LSU started the first half on a 5-0 run and had a 26-19 lead with 12:59 remaining in the half.

Horne’s 3-pointer helped the Panthers close the gap to 29-27 with 10:38 to play, and Joseph’s next shot from beyond the arc cut LSU’s lead to 37-36 with 7:59 on the clock.

Madimba’s three-point shot tied the game at 42-42 with 5:44 left in the half and Prairie View went on a 6-0 run, taking a 49-46 lead with 3:34 left on the clock.

The Panthers took a 54-48 lead with 1:34 remaining as Horne got a steal and set up Joseph for a dunk.
