Elliot Cadeau scored a game-high 19 points and Yaxel Lendeborg added 15 to boost third-ranked Michigan to an 86-72 victory against Indiana on Tuesday in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Aday Mara chipped in 13 points and Trey McKenney followed with 10, as the Wolverines won their third straight.

Michigan (17-1, 7-1 Big Ten) controlled the game throughout and wasn’t in danger even when going 7:36 without a field goal down the stretch. Lendeborg stopped the drought with a one-handed alley-oop dunk off a feed from Nimari Burnett with 3:56 remaining.

Indiana (12-7, 3-5) lost a season-high fourth straight game as it struggled to find a shooting rhythm. The Hoosiers shot 40.4% compared to 50.9% for the Wolverines.

Tucker DeVries had 15 points to lead the Hoosiers, while Nick Dorn (14 points), Sam Alexis (11) and Reed Bailey (11) all contributed double digits.

Indiana never led and fell behind by 25 points, 66-41, when Will Tschetter split a pair of free throws with 10:45 left to cap a 9-1 Michigan run.

A 33.3% effort from the floor plagued Indiana in the first half as the Hoosiers endured starts of 0-for-8 and 1-for-15.

Bailey registered Indiana’s first points on a layup at the 14:29 mark to stop a 9-0 Wolverines run to begin the game.

A stretch of six successive makes helped Indiana climb back in after trailing by as many as 17 midway through the first half. Still, Michigan seemingly answered each time the Hoosiers attempted to build momentum.

That included the closing stages of the first half. Trent Sisley hit a pair of foul shots to trim Indiana’s deficit to nine with nine seconds left before the break but Cadeau drove for a layup just ahead of the buzzer on the next possession.

Michigan took a 40-29 lead into intermission while committing nine turnovers and making just 1 of 8 free throws. Cadeau paced all scorers with 12 points, with Conor Enright and Lamar Wilkerson leading Indiana with six points apiece.

Michigan finished plus-16 on the glass (41-25). Morez Johnson Jr. grabbed eight boards for the Wolverines.
