Bryan De La Cruz hit a two-out, two-run, go-ahead single in the eighth inning, and the Philadelphia Phillies rallied for a 7-5 win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis.

Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs for Philadelphia, which completed a three-game sweep. Luis Arraez also drove in a run.

Brooks Lee hit a grand slam to lead Minnesota at the plate. Kody Clemens finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run.

The Phillies trailed 5-0 before scoring seven unanswered runs for the comeback victory.

Phillies right-hander Orion Kerkering (7-1) got the win with one inning of scoreless relief.

Twins right-hander Andrew Morris (4-4) gave up three runs on four hits in one inning.

Phillies closer Jhoan Duran held off his former team in the ninth to collect his 26th save.

The Twins seized a 4-0 lead in the first thanks to Lee’s grand slam. After Josh Bell singled, Clemens singled and Royce Lewis walked, Lee yanked a pitch 353 feet down the right-field line for the homer.

The blast marked Lee’s 18th homer of the season and his second career grand slam. His first grand slam was Aug. 17, 2025, against the Detroit Tigers.

Minnesota made it 5-0 on Clemens’ solo shot in the third.

Philadelphia snapped out of a sleepy day at the plate with four runs in the sixth.

Arraez stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and nobody out, and he cut the deficit to 5-1 with an RBI groundout to second. One batter later, Bohm hammered a 408-foot, three-run homer to left to cut the Phillies’ deficit to one run.

Philadelphia finished the rally in the eighth. Bohm hit a bloop single down the right-field line, and Lewis bobbled the ball to allow Bryce Harper to score and make it 5-all.

De La Cruz broke the tie three batters later with a line drive down the first-base line. Lewis dived for the ball but could not grab it, and Bohm and Derek Hill each scored to give Philadelphia a 7-5 lead.
