Brandon Lowe hit a two-run home run and Jake Mangum had a two-run single to highlight a seven-run fourth inning that led the Tampa Bay Rays to a 7-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night in Anaheim, Calif.

Ryan Pepiot (7-9) improved to 3-0 in three career starts against the Angels, snapping a five-start winless streak in the process. Pepiot, who began the game throwing four perfect innings, allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits over 5 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out six as the Rays won for just the second time in their last 13 road games.

Jo Adell went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs for Los Angeles, which had a two-game win streak snapped. Jose Soriano (7-9) suffered the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits over four innings. He walked one and struck out four.

Soriano didn’t allow a hit in the first three innings but gave up seven hits, including five straight to start the fourth inning, as Tampa Bay exploded for seven runs. Yandy Diaz opened the inning with an infield single on a high chopper over the mound and Lowe followed with his 20th homer, a 411-foot drive to dead center. It marked Lowe’s fourth career season with at least 20 home runs.

Junior Caminero then singled and went to third on a double by Josh Lowe. Mangum bounced a single to right to drive in Caminero and Lowe to make it 4-0. One out later, Hunter Feduccia lined a double down the left-field line, sending Mangum to third. Taylor Walls then drove in Mangum with a safety squeeze to increase the lead to 5-0, Chandler Simpson followed with an RBI double and Diaz drove in Walls with a fielder’s choice to make it 7-0.

Los Angeles cut the lead to 7-2 in the fifth on Adell’s 23rd homer, a 410-foot drive into the left field bullpen, driving in Taylor Ward, who had reached on an error. Adell added an RBI single in the sixth to end the scoring.
