Carlos Rodon allowed an unearned run over seven innings and Aaron Judge hit an RBI triple, lifting the visiting New York Yankees to a 5-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday afternoon.
Rodon (3-3) was sharp again, five days after pitching six innings of two-hit ball in a 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Ortiz allowed four runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings. The right-hander struck out eight and walked five.
Judge lifted a booming triple off the center field wall to score Rice for a 1-0 lead Goldschmidt made it 2-0 by lifting a double off the right-center field to easily score Judge.
Rice hit an RBI single off first baseman Carlos Santana’s glove in the second and scored on Goldschmidt’s base hit to left. The Yankees added their first run when Jazz Chisholm Jr. scored on Wells’ double over Steven Kwan’s head in left field after stealing second base.
After getting the first out, Rodon allowed a single to Arias, who scored on Ramirez’s hit when Bellinger overran the ball. The Guardians put two in the second but Rodon struck out Brayan Rocchio and retired Kwan.
Fernando Cruz struck out the side in the eighth and Luke Weaver gave up three warning track fly balls in the ninth to preserve the win.
