Dansby Swanson had the go-ahead RBI for the second time in a matter of hours Wednesday night, when his run-scoring triple in the sixth inning helped the visiting Chicago Cubs beat the New York Mets 10-5 and complete a doubleheader sweep.

Swanson hit the tie-breaking three-run homer in the sixth inning of the opener, when he added a grand slam two innings later to provide insurance in the Cubs’ 10-3 win.

Swanson also had a fourth-inning RBI single in the nightcap and a two-run single in the ninth on his way to finishing 3-for-5. His 11 RBIs in the doubleheader account for nearly a quarter of the 46 RBIs he has this season.

Carson Kelly laced an RBI double in the second while Pedro Ramirez and Pete Crow-Armstrong had run-scoring singles in the fourth. Matt Shaw hit into a run-scoring forceout in the sixth before Ramirez scored on an error by Mark Vientos in the eighth — one of six errors by the Mets in the second game.

Ramirez had another RBI single in the ninth and finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs, four runs scored and two stolen bases. Nico Hoerner also had three hits for the Cubs, who have won five of six — a span in which they’ve outscored the Mets, Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays 59-30.

Shota Imanaga (5-6) earned the win despite giving up four runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four over 5 1/3 innings.

A.J. Ewing hit a two-run homer while Francisco Alvarez, Vientos and Bo Bichette all had solo shots for the Mets, who have lost five straight and seven of their last nine. Bichette and Ewing had two hits each.

Brooks Raley (2-2), the third of six Mets pitchers, took the loss after giving up two runs on two hits and one walk in the sixth. Starter Sean Manaea allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out four over three-plus innings.

Juan Soto sat out both games for the Mets due to a stiff back.
