William Contreras delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 4-3 comeback victory over the visiting New York Yankees on Saturday night.

The Yankees scored one in the top of the 10th to go in front 3-2. Fernando Cruz (3-1) relieved to start the bottom half. Automatic runner Garrett Mitchell advanced to third on a wild pitch and Luis Rengifo walked. After pinch hitter Gary Sanchez flied out, Jackson Chourio followed with an RBI infield single to tie it at 3-all.

Tim Hill relieved and Brice Turang bounced back to the mound, but Hill threw wildly to third to load the bases. Contreras then lofted a fly ball to right deep enough to score Rengifo and secure a series win for the Brewers.

Ryan McMahon singled with two outs in the top half to put the Yankees up 3-2. Aaron Judge was walked intentionally with one out. Cody Bellinger flied to left, but McMahon delivered an RBI single up the middle.

Aaron Ashby (7-0) pitched the final two innings for his Major League-best seventh victory.

Milwaukee erased a 2-0 deficit against New York’s bullpen after being held to two hits through six dominant innings by starter Cam Schlittler.

Brent Headrick relieved to start the seventh and Jake Bauers sent his first pitch 420 feet to right-center for his sixth homer to pull Milwaukee within 2-1.

Turang singled with two outs in the eighth off Camilo Doval and stole second. Contreras singled to left with Turang sliding home just ahead of an on-target throw from Bellinger to tie it 2-all.

Schlittler took a 108.5 mph liner off his leg from Contreras that resulted in a two-out infield single in the first, but he came back to strike out the next hitter. Schlittler struck out six and walked none, lowering his Major League-best ERA from 1.52 to 1.35.

Paul Goldschmidt opened the game with his third homer, sending an 0-1 pitch from Kyle Harrison 419 feet to left-center.

Goldschmidt made it 2-0 with a two-out, bases-loaded single in the fourth.
