The second game of Wednesday’s split doubleheader between the visiting Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather.
The game has been rescheduled for Sept. 9.
The new date had been the only off day for Cincinnati during a nine-game road trip and is sandwiched between stops in New York and St. Louis. Atlanta will be coming off a six-game homestand, with a trip to Washington to face the Nationals set for Sept. 10.
It is the second postponement of the series. Tuesday’s game was rained out and rescheduled as part of Wednesday’s twin bill.
Cincinnati won 4-1 on Monday in the series opener, then prevailed 9-4 earlier Wednesday in Game 1 of the doubleheader.
