Willy Adames homered and drove in three runs to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Sunday night at West Sacramento, Calif.

Luis Matos added a two-run double and Tyler Fitzgerald homered as the Giants won the final two contests of the three-game series. Rafael Devers and Wilmer Flores had two hits as San Francisco improved to 5-1 against the Athletics this season.

Adames drove in seven runs in the back-to-back victories. Overall, the Giants have won four of their past five games.

Tyler Soderstrom homered and doubled while Jacob Wilson had two singles for the Athletics, who won the series opener on Friday before being outplayed the last two games.

Hayden Birdsong (4-3) gave up one run and three hits over five innings for San Francisco. He struck out six and walked five.

Jacob Lopez (2-5) of the Athletics was charged with four runs and five hits over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked one.

The Giants loaded the bases with none out in the first as Heliot Ramos singled, Devers was hit by a pitch and Flores singled. Adames drew a one-out walk to force in a run.

Lopez fanned the next two batters to get out of the frame to start a streak of seven straight strikeouts.

Adames made it 2-0 when he led off the fourth with a 432-foot homer to center.

Soderstrom then led off the Athletics’ half of the inning with a homer to right.

Lopez allowed singles to Andrew Knizner and Devers before departing with one out in the fifth. J.T. Ginn entered and allowed a single to Flores before striking out Matt Chapman.

Adames then drew another bases-loaded walk to give the Giants a 3-1 edge. Matos followed with a two-run ground-rule double that bounced over the low wall in right center.

Fitzgerald’s drive to left in the eighth off Michael Kelly fell short of the wall but it bounced off the glove of Soderstrom and landed on the other side of the fence.

Soderstrom doubled to start the ninth off Camilo Doval, who later walked consecutive batters to load the bases with one. Lawrence Butler’s infield grounder plated a run before Wilson bounced out to end the game.
