Milwaukee ace Jacob Misiorowski won his third consecutive start, tossing six solid innings as the Brewers recorded an 8-2 victory over the New York Mets on Thursday in the decisive game of a three-game set.

Jackson Chourio went 4-for-5 with a pair of two-run homers and a stolen base for the Brewers, who have won eight of 11. Milwaukee’s Andrew Vaughn had two hits, including an RBI single, while David Hamilton and Joey Ortiz also finished with two hits.

Misiorowski (14-5) surrendered two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out six. The right-hander faced the minimum in every inning except the fifth, when Luis Robert Jr. drew a leadoff walk before scoring on Jared Young’s double. Young scored on a two-out single by Christopher Morel.

Misiorowski, who leads the majors in ERA (1.73) and strikeouts (222), has given up two runs or fewer in 19 of his 25 starts this season.

Robert added a ninth-inning single for the Mets, who have dropped consecutive games for the first time since Aug. 11-12.

New York starter Sean Manaea (4-6) allowed six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out three over 5 2/3 innings.

Chourio was at the center of each of the Brewers’ first three run-scoring rallies. He singled on Manaea’s first pitch in the game, went to second on Luis Lara’s walk and scored on Vaughn’s one-out single. Lara, who went to third on Vaughn’s hit, scored when Gary Sanchez beat out the back end of a potential double-play grounder.

The Brewers doubled the lead within a two-pitch span in the second. Hamilton was credited with a single when Manaea threw wide of Young at first base on Hamilton’s bunt before Chourio homered to right.

Chourio singled leading off the fifth, stole second, went to third on Lara’s single and came home on William Contreras’ grounder to third.

Milwaukee boosted its edge to 6-2 in the sixth when Ortiz hit a leadoff triple and scored on Cooper Pratt’s sacrifice fly to left.

The Brewers scored their final runs in the eighth, when Pratt singled with one out and stole second before Chourio’s two-run shot to left.
