Jake Bauers hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the host Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon.

Brice Turang narrowly beat the throw to the plate with a headfirst slide to secure the victory for Milwaukee, which won the rubber match of the weekend series. The Brewers enjoyed a delayed celebration after a video review confirmed that Turang was safe.

Bauers also hit a solo home run for Milwaukee. Jackson Chourio added a solo homer, and David Hamilton finished 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Kody Clemens hit a two-run homer to lead Minnesota at the plate. Brooks Lee finished 2-for-5 with a solo home run.

Brewers left-hander DL Hall (1-0) earned the win with one scoreless inning of relief. He was one of four relievers to follow right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, who struck out nine in six innings.

Twins right-hander Yoendrys Gomez (2-2) took the loss out of the bullpen.

The Brewers jumped to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Chourio hit a leadoff blast over the wall in right-center field. It was his 17th homer of the season and fourth in the past six games.

The Twins evened the score at 1-all in the top of the fifth on Lee’s solo shot, which landed in the visitors’ bullpen just past the wall in right-center field.

Milwaukee pulled ahead for a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth. Bauers hit a go-ahead solo homer to left-center field, and Hamilton made it a two-run game with an RBI double to center that drove in Gary Sanchez.

Clemens retied the game with one swing in the top of the sixth. He tracked a 99 mph fastball from Misiorowski and clubbed it 401 feet over the wall in right-center field.

The two-run blast marked Clemens’ career-high 20th homer of the season.

Brewers right fielder Luis Lara provided two defensive highlights. He made a leaping catch against the wall in right-center to rob Lee of a homer and end the top of the sixth. Later, Lara made another leaping catch, crashing against the right-field wall for the second out of the 10th.
