The Seattle Mariners claimed right-hander Eduardo Salazar off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday, while left-hander Sammy Peralta was designated for assignment.
Salazar was a DFA by the Dodgers on Monday after they acquired right-hander Yohan Ramirez from the New York Mets.
Salazar, 26, made just one appearance for Los Angeles, a two-inning outing on May 15 when he gave up an unearned run against the San Francisco Giants.
Peralta, 26, did not appear in a major league game for the Mariners. He was 0-1 with a 9.24 ERA in 12 relief appearances at Triple-A Tacoma.
