The Seattle Mariners’ interleague matchup Friday in Denver against the Colorado Rockies was postponed because of inclement weather and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader Sunday.
The clubs were scheduled to start a three-game series Friday, but instead, weather permitting, they will play a single game Saturday with the Sunday games scheduled for 1:10 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. local time with separate admissions required.
It was not yet known how the rainout would affect either team’s pitching plans. Right-hander Dakota Hudson (0-3, 4.15 ERA) was scheduled to start for the Rockies on Friday against Mariners starter Emerson Hancock (1-2, 7.98 ERA).
The postponement is the Mariners’ first since July 12, 2022, at Washington D.C.
