Jackson Holliday hit a go-ahead single and Adley Rutschman followed with a three-run home run in the 11th inning, propelling the visiting Baltimore Orioles to an 8-4 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.

Ryan O’Hearn went 4-for-6 with two RBIs for the Orioles, who snapped an eight-game losing streak. Starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano allowed two runs on five hits across six innings, striking out three and walking one.

Milwaukee threw eight pitchers, including Tyler Alexander (2-4), who surrendered three straight Baltimore hits in the 11th, including Holliday’s single and Rutschman’s homer that built the Orioles’ four-run lead. Chad Patrick started for Milwaukee, throwing 4 2/3 innings of one-run, four-hit ball, while striking out seven and walking one.

Rhys Hoskins had two hits, including a homer, for the Brewers, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.

Reliever Trevor Megill entered for Milwaukee in the 10th with Gunnar Henderson on second. Megill retired Ryan Mountcastle, but O’Hearn’s single to left gave the Orioles a 4-3 lead.

Orioles reliever Bryan Baker (3-0) allowed Jackson Chourio’s one-out, game-tying RBI single in the bottom of the 10th. Chourio was thrown out at second on the play and Baker then struck out Christian Yelich to end the inning.

With the Orioles trailing 2-1 in the top of the eighth against Milwaukee reliever Nick Mears, Henderson’s leadoff single was followed by O’Hearn’s one-out double and Cedric Mullins’ game-tying sacrifice fly. Joel Payamps then replaced Mears, walking Emmanuel Rivera before Heston Kjerstad drove in the go-ahead run with a single to left.

In the bottom of the ninth, Baltimore closer Felix Bautista issued a one-out walk to Sal Frelick and a two-out free pass to Jake Bauers. On a 2-2 count, Caleb Durbin singled to right, driving in Frelick and tying the game at two. Bautista retired Isaac Collins to end the inning, sending the game to extras.

O’Hearn laced an RBI single in the fourth to put Baltimore ahead 1-0.

Durbin manufactured Milwaukee’s first run in the bottom of the fifth, leading off with a double. As Durbin was stealing third, Brice Turang grounded to Sugano, who threw to first, allowing Durbin to score the game-tying run in the process.

The Brewers took the lead on Hoskins’ one-out homer in the home half of the sixth — his seventh of the year.
