Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Harrison Bader was not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday because of a groin injury.

Bader was removed from the Phillies’ Game 1 loss because of the injury, which is not considered to be serious. Manager Rob Tomson said Bader was available off the bench for Game 2 of the best-of-five series.

According to Thomson, Bader is at 75 to 80 percent of full health after he underwent an MRI on Sunday.

With Bader out, Otto Kemp was set to play left field and bat ninth, while Brandon Marsh moved from left field to center. Nick Castellanos was in right field replacing Max Kepler and batting sixth.

Bader, 31, was acquired in a trade from the Minnesota Twins on July 31. He batted a combined .277 with 17 home runs and 54 RBIs in 146 games with the Twins and Phillies this season.

Over nine major league seasons with six clubs, including his first six with the St. Louis Cardinals, Bader is a career .247 hitter with 88 home runs and 322 RBIs in 924 games.

Kemp, 26, made his debut June 7 and batted .234 with eight home runs and 28 RBIs over his first 62 major league games.
