All-Star Futures Game coaching staffs for the event to be played July 13 at Arlington, Texas, include multiple former Rangers.
Adrian Beltre and Michael Young already had been named manager of a squad, with Beltre to head the American League squad of top prospects, while Young was named to the helm of the National League squad.
Beltre’s staff will include Raul Ibañez, Prince Fielder, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cordero, Derek Holland, Mitch Moreland, Elvis Andrus and Kenny Holmberg. Ibanez, the manager of last year’s NL Futures team, will be Beltre’s bench coach.
Young’s staff will include Ian Kinsler, Mark Teixeira, Darren Oliver, Colby Lewis, Gary Matthews Jr., Vernon Wells and Gabe Alvarez. Kinsler a four-time All-Star, will be Young’s bench coach.
