The Tampa Bay Rays adjusted their pitching staff Saturday, calling up a pair of right handers from Triple-A Durham in Cole Sulser and Hunter Bigge.
In a pair of corresponding moves, right-hander Erasmo Ramirez was designated for assignment and left-hander Colin Poche was placed on the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation.
Sulser, 34, was acquired from the New York Mets in late May and has a combined 7.94 ERA in five appearances with both teams this season. In six career seasons, he is 7-13 with a 4.03 ERA in 134 relief appearances for five different clubs.
Bigge, 26, was acquired from the Chicago Cubs in July and has a combined 1.23 ERA in eight appearances (one start) for both the Cubs and Rays this season.
Ramirez, 34, was 3-0 with a 4.35 ERA for the Rays in his 13th career major league season.
Poche, 30, was 1-2 with a 3.67 ERA in 39 relief appearances for Tampa Bay this season.
