The Boston Red Sox activated catcher Connor Wong from the 10-day injured list on Friday.
Wong broke his left pinkie in a 6-2 home loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on April 7 and went on the IL the following day.
In corresponding move, the Red Sox optioned catcher Blake Sabol to Triple-A Worcester.
Wong, 28, is batting .087 (2-for-23) in nine games. He is a career .252 hitter with 23 home runs and 96 RBIs in 294 games since making his major league debut with Boston in June 2021.
Sabol, 27, was batting .125 (2-for-16) in eight games. He is a career .237 hitter with 13 homers and 46 RBIs in 129 games over parts of three seasons with the San Francisco Giants (2023-24) and Red Sox.
