Report: Yankees done adding big-ticket free agents for 2025

Max Fried reacts

The American League champion New York Yankees appear to have completed their offseason shopping spree and no longer are in the market for big-name, high-dollar free agents, Sportico reported Thursday.

The Yankees already have made some significant additions to the roster, signing left-hander Max Fried to an eight-year, $218 million deal and adding first baseman Paul Goldschmidt to a one-year, $12.5 million deal.

Not only was outfielder/first baseman Cody Bellinger acquired from the Chicago Cubs, and set to make $25 million in 2025, right-hander Devin Williams was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers ($8.4 million). The club also re-signed right-hander Jonathan Loaisiga ($5 million).

The Yankees have $270.6 million committed to 13 players so far for the upcoming season, second only to the champion Los Angeles Dodgers, who have $336 million committed to 19 players.
