The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a one-year, $3.2 million deal with first baseman Rowdy Tellez.
Multiple outlets reported the deal Tuesday night. Tellez can earn an additional $800,000 in incentives.
The Milwaukee Brewers non-tendered the 28-year-old slugger on Nov. 17, making him a free agent.
Tellez played only 105 games for the Brewers in 2023, missing most of July and August with a right forearm injury.
He batted .215 with 13 home runs, 47 RBIs and a career-worst .376 slugging percentage last season.
In six seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays (2018-21) and Milwaukee (2021-23), Tellez has a .233/.304/.446 batting line with 92 homers and 263 RBIs in 533 games.
