The Cincinnati Reds and left-handed relief pitcher Brent Suter agreed to a one-year contract worth $3 million, multiple reports said Thursday.
Suter, a Cincinnati native, will make $2.5 million in 2024, while the deal includes a $3.5 million club option for 2025 with a $500,000 buyout.
The 34-year-old spent the 2023 season with the Colorado Rockies after pitching his first seven MLB seasons for the Milwaukee Brewers. He has a 3.49 career ERA and a 40-22 record in 253 games (41 starts). He has struck out 393 batters with 123 walks over 464 innings.
For Colorado last year, Suter went 4-3 with a 3.38 ERA in 57 games, including two starts.
