Gleyber Torres hit one of Detroit’s four homers — a two-run shot — as the Tigers slugged their way past Minnesota, 10-5, on Saturday afternoon.

Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter and Zach McKinstry supplied solo blasts for Detroit. McKinstry had three hits, two runs scored and two RBIs, while Greene also had three hits and two runs scored. Wenceel Perez added a two-run double, and Colt Keith chipped in two hits and an RBI.

Casey Mize (8-2) limited the Twins to two runs and five hits with five strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.

Detroit scored at least one run in every inning but the first.

Minnesota starter Bailey Ober got roughed up once again, allowing seven runs — including four homers — and 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings. Ober (4-6) lost all five of his June starts while surrendering 14 homers.

Byron Buxton had three hits, including a two-run homer, and scored twice for the Twins. Carlos Correa also had a two-run shot.

Detroit took a 1-0 lead in the second on Matt Vierling’s sacrifice fly.

Buxton gave Minnesota the lead in the third. After Harrison Bader reached on a one-out single, Buxton blasted a Mize splitter over the left-center field wall.

Carpenter tied it in the bottom of the inning. He clobbered a hanging Ober slider over the right field wall.

Detroit grabbed a 5-2 lead in the fourth. Vierling drew a leadoff walk and McKinstry singled. A sacrifice put both runners in scoring position for Keith, who hit a go-ahead sacrifice fly. Torres then lofted an Ober fastball over the left field wall for his ninth homer.

It was Greene’s turn to go deep in the fifth, as he smashed an Ober sweeper over the right field wall for a 6-2 lead. McKinstry joined the long ball parade in the sixth, golfing a changeup over the right field wall.

McKinstry made it 8-2 with his seventh inning sacrifice fly

Correa homered off Tommy Kahnle in the eighth. Perez got those two runs back with a bases-loaded double in the bottom of the inning.
