The Minnesota Twins’ game against the host Boston Red Sox on Saturday was postponed because of a forecast of continued rain showers.
The game originally scheduled for Sunday at 1:35 p.m. has been moved up to 12:35 p.m., and Saturday’s contest has been rescheduled for the second game of a split doubleheader to start at 5:35 p.m. Sunday.
Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta (5-11, 4.37 ERA) is scheduled to pitch in Game 1 against Twins ace righty Pablo Lopez (15-8, 3.84).
Boston’s Kutter Crawford (8-15, 4.19), who was slated to pitch on Saturday, now will pitch in the second game Sunday against Minnesota rookie and fellow righty Zebby Matthews (1-3, 6.30).
