French basketball star Victor Wembanyama will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for Tuesday night’s New York Yankees game, the team announced.
Wembanyama, the no-doubt No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, arrived in the New York area Monday in advance of Thursday’s draft.
The San Antonio Spurs own the first choice.
Alleged to stand 7-foot-4, Wembanyama would be an imposing figure if he chooses to make his toss from the mound.
The Yankees face the Seattle Mariners.
