The Chicago White Sox recalled infielder Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday after third baseman Bryan Ramos was optioned a day earlier.
Sosa, 24, played in 12 games for the White Sox earlier this season, batting .132 with two doubles and an RBI. In 75 games over three seasons with Chicago he is a career .177 hitter with seven home runs and 16 RBIs.
Ramos, 22, made his major league debut May 4 and batted .196 with two doubles and two RBIs in 15 games for the White Sox, who entered play Friday with a major league-worst 15-42 record.
The White Sox open a three-game road series with the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.
