Jung Hoo Lee capped a string of three straight one-out hits in the bottom of the ninth inning with a walk-off single, allowing the San Francisco Giants to complete a three-game home sweep over the Chicago Cubs with a 4-3 victory Thursday afternoon.

The game had been tied at 3-3 since the sixth before Casey Schmitt blooped a single to center field off Chicago’s third pitcher, Daniel Palencia (1-4), to ignite the game-winning uprising.

Wilmer Flores followed with a liner to left-center, sending Schmitt to second. Schmitt easily slid home safely on Lee’s liner to right field.

Ryan Walker (5-4), who faced just one batter and retired him in the top of the ninth, was credited with the win in a game that featured four home runs, including two by the Giants’ Willy Adames.

Both starting pitchers left a 3-3 tie after seven innings, having allowed two homers apiece.

Cubs left-hander Shota Imanaga was stung twice by Adames, who single-handedly rallied the Giants from a pair of deficits. His first homer, a two-run shot, came in the bottom of the first after the Cubs had scored in the top of the inning, and his second, a solo blast, erased a 3-2 Chicago lead in the sixth that had been a product of Michael Busch’s homer in the top of the inning.

Imanaga was charged with three runs on five hits in his seven innings. He walked one and struck out five.

Giants starter Logan Webb yielded three runs on seven hits. He struck out seven without issuing a walk.

The other homer served up by Webb came off the bat of Dansby Swanson in the second, producing a 2-2 tie.

The homers were Nos. 23 and 24 for Adames, No. 25 for Busch and No. 19 for Swanson.

Lee joined Adames with two hits apiece for the Giants, who won five in a row against the top two teams in the National League Central (Milwaukee and Chicago).

Kyle Tucker collected a double and a single for the Cubs, who fell to 3-3 on a nine-game Western swing that began with three consecutive wins over the Los Angeles Angels.
