Austin FC on Friday re-signed midfielder Dani Pereira for the 2025 MLS season with a club option for 2026.
The 24-year-old Venezuela native tallied one goal and five assists in 26 matches (23 starts) in 2024.
“Austin FC is the place where I began my professional career and this Club and community have become like home for me and my family,” Pereira said. “I’m already looking forward to the start of preseason and can’t wait to play at Q2 Stadium again soon.”
Pereira has obtained a green card to become a permanent U.S. resident and no longer will occupy an international roster slot for Austin.
“Dani arrived at Austin FC as a young player and has grown a tremendous amount in the four seasons since,” said sporting director Rodolfo Borrell. “He has become an important part of our midfield and still has potential to continue developing.”
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, Pereira has recorded three goals and 17 assists in 113 matches (96 starts) through four seasons with Austin.
