Forward Kwadwo “Mahala” Opoku has a new contract with CF Montreal.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian’s deal runs through the end of the 2026 season and includes an option for 2027.
Montreal acquired Opoku from Los Angeles FC on July 5 for $1.75 million in general allocation money.
He has made two starts for Montreal and scored the winning goal in a 2-0 defeat of Charlotte FC on July 15.
Opoku has 10 goals and seven assists in 62 MLS matches (37 starts) with LAFC (2020-23) and Montreal.
