CF Montreal signed defender Ousman Jabang for the 2023 season, with three option years in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
The club did not announce financial terms.
Montreal selected Jabang, 21, in the third round of the 2023 MLS SuperDraft.
He comes to Montreal from Mercer University in his native Georgia, where he played 18 games and 1,525 minutes during the 2022 college season. He also appeared in 18 matches in 2021 and posted four goals and seven assists.
“Ousman showed great things during the preseason which allowed him to earn a contract,” said Olivier Renard, Montreal’s chief sporting officer. “We are confident that he still has a lot of room for improvement in the future. We officially welcome him to the group.”
