Inter Miami locked up MLS Cup-winning goalkeeper Rocco Rios Novo with a long-term contract on Thursday.
On loan from Argentina’s Lanus, he took over the No. 1 job down the stretch last season and was in net for the 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps in the championship match.
He recorded five clean sheets in 19 appearances across all competitions.
Inter Miami fully acquired Rios Novo, 23, from Lanus and signed the Argentina international through the 2028-29 season with an option for 2029-30.
The defending champions begin the 2026 MLS season with a visit to Los Angeles FC on Feb. 21 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
