Inter Miami CF and midfielder Rodolfo Pizarro have agreed to a mutual contract termination.
The MLS club announced the parting of ways with the 29-year-old Mexican veteran on Friday night.
Pizarro tallied seven goals and 13 assists in 59 games (48 starts) over three-plus seasons with Miami.
He is expected to join AEK Athens of Greece’s top flight on a free transfer, per multiple reports.
His departure opens a designated player spot for Miami, which is expected to be filled by Lionel Messi when he officially signs his megamillion-dollar contract with the club.
