The San Jose Earthquakes announced a mutual parting with midfielder Carlos Gruezo on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old Ecuador international signed as a designated player ahead of the 2023 MLS campaign.
Gruezo appeared in 52 MLS matches (48 starts) with the Quakes from 2023-24, tallying three assists.
He previously played for FC Dallas from 2016-19, posting three goals and seven assists in 98 appearances.
